How to Add Pronouns to Your Slack Profile
How to add or change your pronouns in Slack on desktop and mobile, where they appear, and what to do if you don't see the pronouns field.
Adding your pronouns to Slack is a small step that helps teammates address you correctly. Slack has a dedicated pronouns field, so it only takes a moment.
Add pronouns on desktop
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Select Profile, then Edit Profile.
- Find the Pronouns field and enter your pronouns (for example, she/her, he/him, or they/them).
- Click Save Changes.
Add pronouns on mobile (iOS & Android)
- Tap You in the bottom-right corner.
- Tap your profile picture, then Edit Profile.
- Enter your pronouns in the Pronouns field.
- Tap Save.
Your pronouns then appear next to your name on your profile, so teammates see them when they view your details.
Don’t see the pronouns field?
The pronouns field is enabled at the workspace level. If you don’t see it, a workspace owner or admin needs to turn it on in the workspace profile settings. Send them a quick message and they can enable it for everyone.
